Plain English, no lawyer-speak. Here's exactly how we make money and what that means for what you read here.
The short version: Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and sign up for that service, we may receive a benefit — a commission, account credits, or similar — at no additional cost to you. We only recommend tools we'd point a friend to, and we tell you plainly when a competitor is the better choice for your situation.
What an affiliate or referral link is
It's a normal link with a tracking code attached. If you click it and later sign up with that company, the company gives us something for the referral — sometimes a cash commission, sometimes credits on our own account with them.
It never costs you anything extra. You pay exactly what you'd pay if you'd typed the address in yourself. Whatever we receive comes out of the company's marketing budget, not your pocket.
Which links these are
Primarily links to third-party AI music generation tools, most notably Suno. Where a post contains one, we say so at the top of that post — before you encounter the first link, not buried at the bottom.
Links to our own song generator are obviously not affiliate links. We simply make money if you subscribe, which we hope surprises nobody.
We also compete with some of the tools we write about
This is worth saying out loud. We build an AI worship song generator. When we write about other generators — including ones we're paid to refer you to, and ones we aren't — we have a commercial interest in the outcome.
Our answer to that conflict is transparency rather than pretended neutrality:
- We tell you up front, in every relevant post, that we make a competing product.
- We tell you specifically when not to use ours — because for some people, another tool genuinely is the better fit.
- We don't publish fake "unbiased review" content while quietly ranking ourselves first.
You're free to weigh what we say accordingly. That's the whole point of telling you.
How we decide what to recommend
Commission rates play no part in it. We recommend tools we've actually used, based on what they're genuinely good at. If a tool we earn nothing from is the right answer for your situation, we say so — you'll find several of them named in our comparison posts, recommended plainly, with no link that pays us a penny.
Editorial independence
No company on this site pays us to be featured, reviewed, or ranked. Nobody gets to see or approve our content before it's published. If a company ended its referral program tomorrow, our assessment of it wouldn't change.
Why we're telling you this
Partly because the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires clear disclosure of material connections between publishers and the products they endorse, and we intend to comply with that.
But mostly because our readers are churches and worship leaders, and being quietly monetized without being told about it is a rotten way to treat people who came here for help.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know whether a specific link earns us anything, just ask. We'll tell you.
